title: Super Show 3 Stage and Seating Layout (Korea)!
date: Tuesday, June 15, 2010
time:6:46 PM
Just a quick post! The Super Junior official website has released the layout for Super Show 3 Korea. Now, this DOES NOT mean that ALL countries will have the EXACT layout. They usually tweak this a bit in other countries because concert arenas are all constructed differently.

"Will we really have those extended stages in the side?"

There is no guarantee that your country will have this because like I said, it depends on the structure of the arena. Korea Super Shows usually have this because the Olympic Park Fencing Stadium can accommodate this type of layout.

To give you an idea, the Super Show 2 Korea layout was like this:

They also had those extended stages for SS2 Korea but this was not carried out in other countries because of logistics. Additionally, some cities even had a horizontal walkway in the center. You just have to wait for your country's layout! ~

THAT is the concept photo for Super Show 3!!! I am so excited for this! It looks totally different from the first and second tour shots. Looks like they're veering away from that vibe. And man, they are looking very handsome! The picture is tiny but look closely. Wookie is even wearing a sleeveless top! ~~

ELFs!

Super Show 3 is very soon~!

Super Junior’s 3rd Asia Tour, Super Show 3 will begin this fall on August 14 and 15 in Seoul! Actually, tickets will be on sale [For Seoul ss3 only] at 8 PM on June 17th, on the online store G-market:http://ticket.gmarket.co.kr.

Cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Taipei, Bangkok, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Manila are on the list for ss3 concert after Seoul! There will be a total of 16 concerts in 13 cities.

So don’t worry, those are just 8 cities, so if your city wasn’t mentioned, don’t lose hope!!

title: The Stage
date: Sunday, June 13, 2010
time:7:10 PM
Anyone who's been an ELF long enough will know that Super Junior Super Show concert stages are extraordinary. The Super Show which showcases the different performances of the Super Junior members deserves no less than super stage. And that's what we get each and every time. No matter what country you go to, it is a requirement to have practically the same set-up which takes days to complete.

Here's a picture of the preparations at Shanghai. As you can probably tell, it takes a lot of effort to set this baby up. You need a few hundred platforms and a lot of manpower to get this ready for the show.

People outside the fandom (and sometimes new fans within the fandom) question the need for such elaborate stages. Well, its not necessarily a NEED but it is a novelty to have. Plus its convenient and advantageous. You see, the typical single stages that we see in generally all concerts will only have ONE front row. In most cases, the first few rows are almost always occupied by the sponsors and celebrities aka non-fans who sit down the entire concert and are intent on looking bored to death. This is not meant to offend sponsors but you have to admit, a lot of them do look like this and real fans of the artist never fail to complain about the injustice of such a system. This is in fact, very reasonable! Fans support the artist, listen to their songs, buy their merchandise and spazz about them every day of the year. They deserve those seats! But alas, the very front row seats have to be given up to companies who made the concert possible. Aside from this, Super Junior is a big group and they just look cramped in traditional stages.

Super Show manages to fix this problem. By making a circular stage with perpendicular walkways, HUNDREDS of fans can have front row seats!!! Never mind that this could be a money-making ploy for the entertainment company and concert organizers. The truth of the matter is, in this kind of layout, fans ARE the VIPs! The Super Junior members can go around and fans will be able to see all of them up close at one point or another.

"What section is the best then?" The answer to this question is relative. It depends on a number of factors like your purpose for going to the concert, your end-goals, your favorite member, your favorite performance and of course your budget. A lengthier discussion on this question will be made in a separate post.
